Word Of Encouragement10/19/2020 2020 has been a defining year so far to say the least. From the global shutdown caused by the pandemic to the social unrest catalyzed by George Floyd’s death to schools around the nation operating in an erratic manner, this year has been characterized by chaos, conflict, and distress. This is why I am sharing the following passage in Isaiah 30 as it is so relevant and applicable to us in light of the situation we are living in right now.
Isaiah 30:19-21 People of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. How gracious he will be when you cry for help! As soon as he hears, he will answer you. Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes you will see them. Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” The people of Zion, dwelling in the Lord’s holy place, represented through the Church, will suffer no more. Exalted in the body of Christ, we the saints can enjoy the full experience of Jesus in eternal joy, peace, and protection even through this unjust world. The Lord will bring trials and tribulation upon us.However, He is gracious in answering our cries and prayers. No longer consumed and blinded by the world, we are of the spirit. We can turn to our teachers in the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit for direction and guidance as our ears will be receptive to His calling. So brothers and sisters, as we live through these unprecedented times, I implore that you don’t get discouraged in the world, but rather seek how God is using these times for His will and purpose. Take heart, and turn to the Lord for guidance and peace. May Jesus bless you all. Amen.
